Arcade by Output is a subscription-based loop-synthesizer with real time performance and manipulation features. The slick, easy-to-use plugin integrates the new cloud-based Output loop library into any DAW.
Arcade’s sample content is organized in individually themed, curated product lines such as “Modular Circuitry” or “Rhythm Culture”. The loops can be selected from the integrated cloud based browser and pre-listened in the tempo and key of the hosting track before being downloaded to the local hard drive. Up to 15 loops can then be combined to a kit and twisted in real time with the 11 internal effects, 4 macros and 2 modulation slots. Arcade also allows users to import their own samples.
LA-based developer Output have announced to add new content to the catalogue daily, making Arcade the closest music plugin equivalent to Netflix so far. Fittingly, it is also subscription based. While competitors like Splice, Noiiz or Native Instrument’s new service Sounds.com still require manual downloads and sample imports, Output integrate their premium sample library directly into any DAW and make it accessible and playable with Arcade.
Arcade costs 10 € / $ USD per month and the first 100 days are free.
