Right on time for this year’s Moogfest, the latest addition to the Mother ecosystem was unveiled: The Moog Grandmother is a semi-modular analog mono synth with arpeggiator, sequencer and spring reverb. It features two syncable oscillators based on the Minimoog, a classic 4-Pole Ladder filter, 1-Pole High Pass filter, ADSR Envelope, LFO, 32-note keyboard with velocity and 41 patch points. All sections are based on classic Moog modules. Other than the fancy and highly polarizing color scheme suggests, the modules are not swappable. Grandmother is available for pre-order now for a price of 999 Dollars or Euros, which turned quite some heads.
